Hans-Josef Fell

Hans-Josef Fell has long been a champion of renewable energy and a proponent of the imperative need to transition away from fossil fuels as soon as possible. In his role as member of the German parliament from 1998 to 2013 he pushed green issues to the top of the agenda being called “father of the energiewende” (along Hermann Scheer), and in his current role as President of the Energy Watch Group he is making sure they stay there. In 2017 he stepped things up a gear by drawing up an ambitious road map showing how the world could shift to 100% renewable energy by 2030.
